My Hell's Horses vs. Steel Viper 15k BV full Zellbrigen star vs. star ritual combat. Improved pilots and powerful Clan weaponry meant this game played *fast* despite the high BV. Victory went to the treacherous Steel Vipers who broke zell to kick my Timber Wolf's head off. Massive fun! #BattleTech

I think all 3 have their place but my heart belongs to classic now. I love the hexes, I love figuring our the perfect mech lance, I love painting my minis only for them to be shot off the board with a lucky AC20 headshot turn one (okay maybe not THAT one) #battletech

10/1 - Classic Gameplay!

Most recent game from the other week, our LGS campaign system, we raided a water-supply depot of a local warlord. I used a stock Javelin, and despite its fragility, i managed to finish off the kill on two enemies with my sandblasting of SRMS!

This might be one of the dumbest things I've done for detail: I made a custom base with appropriate pegs for the jump version of the Shadow Hawk, even though it's 98% covered in jump form.

The thing I like most about classic BT is the level of detail. At first it seems daunting , but imo everything runs smooth. after a couple rounds of gameplay it all clicks.

I like the strategy needed to play. Facing and terrain, checking range brackets, and making sure that you are maximizing your defense.
I love how quickly you can get a game of Classic going. Lay down a map and roll dice

Played my second game of Classic #Battletech using the new rules, and I'm finding that with the new Core Rulebook I'm using a wider variety of gear, which is fun.
Played a Jade Hawk vs a Warhammer IIC on one of the gorgeous new maps. The Jade Hawk got destroyed pretty quickly.
