October 8: “Nemesis” and “Mushroom”

I picked Kentucky Warbler (a nemesis bird for me) and Omphalotus illudens.

Verney mocks Abi for daring to try and share her interests with him, and so she decides to teach him a lesson

Panel 1: Abi Normal enters the bedroom of her brother, Verney Normal. In his bedroom is a shelf with a rugby ball, a model F1 car and a toy skull inside a plastic see-through "Toxic waste" container. Verney looks annoyed as Abi reads a book and says "It says here that skulls are useful for sorcerers who want to connect with spirits of the dead!"

Panel 2: Verney mocks Abi, widening his eyes and saying "Ooh, look at me! My name's Abi and I love telling useless facts to people who didn't ask!". Abi looks irritated.

Panel 3: Verney points at Abi and says "Guess what? Nobody cares!" Abi looks quite cross.

Panel 4: Abi is back in her own room, sitting at a table and looking at a skull attached to a pentacle. She says "Sorry, Verney, but you made the wrong choice and forced my hand."
