The Context: In the original film, they are looking up in shock and confusion at a terrifying cult ritual. The Right Image The Movie: This is a promotional poster for the 2009 Disney-Pixar animated film Up. The Characters: It shows Carl Fredricksen floating away while holding onto his house's garden hose, with Russell dangling right behind him. The Joke By placing the image from Up right above the characters from Midsommar, the meme makes it look like Dani and Christian are gasping in pure disbelief at an old man and a boy flying away in the sky.
