Michael Showalter’s #VerityMovie is a taut, seductive thriller that weaves an intricate web of deceit before ultimately retreating into a paint-by-numbers formula that derails everything fresh it strives to be.

Great performances aside, it never lives up to its intriguing setup

This weekend's location count for Amazon MGM Studios' Verity is 3,510 locations.

Sadly, #VerityMovie is a run of the mill, paint by numbers psychological thriller that doesn’t thrill that much.

With a great three-way leading cast, you’d expect the film to be more than it is.

While it’s fairly ok, it again falls into the not so great category.

Shame.

Here are my off the cuff thoughts on #Veritymovie.

Thanks to the cast, I enjoyed my time, but I actually thought the whole film needed to be trashier.
