27' SUBSTITUTION WHITECAPS

OFF: Müller
ON: Sabaly

An early night for the German Legend. Perhaps @harjournalist.bsky.social will know if he's on minutes/injury restriction.

Müller's best play was deceptive pass to White that looked to be long shot at first. Had me fooled. #VANvLAG

22' Cheeky FK Alert

Oli Larraz and Ryan Gauld both stand over the ball for a FK about 30 yards out and to the left of LAG's keeper.

Gauld leans down as if to move the ball as Larraz steps up and strikes. Outswinger into the box but nothing comes of it.

Oli taken 2/3 Corners, 1/1 FK. #VANvLAG

16' Chance Caps

Sabbi gets the ball on his foot running inside of Harbor Miller. Fires the shot near post but right at Marcinowski. #VANvLAG

14' Chance Galaxy

Harbor Miller tries to put it away from the keeper as he's falling backwards. Takoaka saves. #VANvLAG

12' Chance Galaxy

Chucky Lozano announces himself to the crowd with a blast at Yohei Takoaka. Tak up for the save. #VANvLAG

More Notes:

- The Stadium PA says 'Thank You' after declaring goal scorer, to which, the crows replies back "You're Welcome".
- The Home crowd politely claps for the returned-to-standing Galaxy Player.
- 🙏 Caps comms announce Goal Soccer + Assister + Hockey Assister + Stat Notes on PB PA. #VANvLAG

Some Notes Thus Far:

- Crowd booed the end of the US Anthem (correctly) before launching into a collective bellow of the Canadian Anthem.
- Southsiders START the game singing "Mountain Roads".

9' GOAL WHITECAPS

Brian White would not be cut down or denied for the third time. Marcinowski angles to cut off the shot but White puts his head down and slots it to his left.

Crowd goes wild. BC Place blasts "Freed From Desire".

6' Chance Caps

This time Sabbi gets the solo run with the ball in front of the LAG goal and AGAIN JT Marcinowski saves. This one a bit tougher than the last. #VANvLAG

5' Chance Caps

Ocampo gets it in front of him solo ahead of Marcinkowski but JT up for the save. #VANvLAG

4' Galaxy have barely made it out of their own half so far. All Caps early. #VANvLAG

3' White again gets knocked off his center of gravity, this time in the box and throws his hands up. #VANvLAG

Forgot to mention it was an Oli Larraz ball from near his own box that sent White chasing in good position. #VANvLAG

1' Caps start off on the gas immediately, sending White forward for a ball but he gets shoulder checked off the ball, outside the box, by Julian Aude. #VANvLAG
