For the first time ever in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, the final is going to a penalty shootout

North Korea with a series of changes just before penalties.

Never feels a safe plan.

And there's the whistle. Penalties await.

Spain have been on top of this second 15 of extra time. Forced a save out of Pak JuGyong and getting a series of set pieces. Still no goal.

I've only seen since early in the second half, but Pak JuGyong, in the Korean net, has to be the player of the match. She's made multiple saves to keep the scoreline level.

Final 15 minutes of extra time kicking off now.

Spain close!

It is Marisa Garcia this time. A ball looped over the top, and Garcia muscles past her defender to get in on goal, but Pak JuGyong comes to the rescue again. She closes quickly and blocks the shot.

The opening 15' of extra time are done.

Extra time approaches. In fact, it arrives.

Spain are having a stretch of possession, but they're not finding many options through North Korea's mid block. A quiet past 10 minutes.

A loose touch from Ri KukHyang almost allows Pau to run in on goal, but the defender recovers well to tackle the ball out for a corner. Corner cleared.

Pak JuGyong again!

Pau gets free on the right and plays across the ball. She has a teammate open, but a Korean defender tackles the ball first. The ball heads straight toward goal, forcing a great kick save from Pak JuGyong.
