Don’t forget to visit our #TUC2026 Hub page, with info about the Employment Rights Act, IER briefings, updated fact sheets, articles, podcasts, the dedicated IER / @unionfreedom TUC Congress handout & how to enter our competition. It’s all here in one place: www.ier.org.uk/ier-at-tuc-2...
1 in 7 people in the UK are neurodiverse in some way - that's over 15% of all workers.
More needs to be done to make workplaces more inclusive and more supportive.
Usdaw President Jane Jones speaks at #TUC2026
Another busy day at #TUC2026. Keep an eye out for our coverage of conference motions & if you’re at Congress, make sure you pop along to our stall in the exhibitors area (map below). We’re located at Stand 31 & happy to talk about employment rights & show you our publications.
From @kiritunks.bsky.social “Now that #TUC2026 has passed Motion 17 to Oppose the EHRC Code of Practice (Services, Public Functions and Associations) women union members may want to know how the motion can be implemented without undermining the rights of women.” www.filia.org.uk/latest-news/...

Day 2 for our delegation at #TUC2026
Building relationships, gaining more for our members.
The motion passed at #TUC2026 in the last hour, with very little ‘debate’. Barely anyone mentioned women.
Maybe members should now ask their unions how this can be implemented – while still protecting women's rights – and what is this change in law that they will be campaigning for?
"We are asking for ring fenced funding to support genuine inclusion in our schools" #TUC2026
"That doesn’t happen by telling teachers and lecturers that they must accept insecurity, excessive workloads and declining real-terms pay rewards.” #TUC2026
The EIS is at the TUC Congress in Brighton this week, follow along for updates from the delegation #TUC2026
Now on the #TUC2026 conference floor: motion C04: Migrant rights are workers’ rights – withdraw the unsettling UK settlement proposals.
In 2023, IER experts wrote a v significant report arguing that a seismic shift was needed in migrant workers’ rights: www.ier.org.uk/press-releas...
Powerful contribution from UNISON Senior Vice President Debbie Rowden at #TUC2026 calling for justice for migrant workers.
Keep the five-year route to settlement, protect workers’ rights and reject division.
✊ Fair visas. Fair treatment. Justice for migrant workers.
Thanks to everyone who came to our packed-out #TUC2026 fringe last night in Brighton. It was a fantastic evening, covering so many parts of the Employment Rights Act & arguments for a second Bill. Thanks to all the speakers & to @thompsons.law who sponsored the event. Solidarity.
