@trevorsideas.bsky.socialMade it through the prologue unscathed on nightmare difficulty. So far like 1st chapter the key is speed stat, buffs, and shields to survive the bosses. Earth Guard is especially valuable.
Also I knew something was up...
Loving the game!

@trevorsideas.bsky.socialBack to our serious costumes! The world needs saving!
@trevorsideas.bsky.socialMessing around with some of the costume stuff. The "shiny hair" accessories just look weird to me. They are fine in the menu but they actually glow out in the world. They even have their own bloom!
@trevorsideas.bsky.socialMade sure to optimize my orbments before the first boss battle and I think it paid off. Was able to sneak through without a knock out thanks to Anelace's incredible speed and delay skills. Boosted of course by what quartz I had access to. Estelle was the defensive support.
@trevorsideas.bsky.socialIt's time to get back to the prologue with Anelace who clearly likes her big bows as much as Nera from Dragon Quest Monsters.

@trevorsideas.bsky.socialNGL it's gonna take me a while to get used to orange Estelle. I rather liked the red...
@trevorsideas.bsky.socialAh it's good to be back! Really does feel like visiting old friends and remembering events from the first game!
Though I can't say as I remember seeing this particular friend-in-a-pail before...
@trevorsideas.bsky.socialIt's nice they've given options for different BGM types. I tend to mix it up sometimes just to see how the versions differ.
Also just for reference I think I'm going to try Nightmare mode. I played 1st Chapter on Hard and after the prologue it wasn't that hard. We shall see!
@trevorsideas.bsky.socialTime to continue a grand adventure in Liberl and beyond! I loved 1st Chapter and have been anticipating more adventures with in-game friends ever since.
Unlike my game threads for retro games I won't be sharing anything remotely spoilery. Just non story scenery and the like.
