@mnegueruela.bsky.social#TheRunner a lawyer must follow the orders of a psychopath who has kidnapped her son. A basic “race against time” plot that maintains a certain level of suspense with some good sequences. With a bit more structural complexity, the film would be brilliant.
@punchycritic.bsky.socialHow does a movie with Gal Gadot literally running for 90 minutes go absolutely nowhere? #TheRunner is embarrassingly stupid. Gadot deserves better material, but she should also make better choices.
Streaming now on Prime Video!

@marksearby.comTHE RUNNER is now streaming on Prime Video. It's really good as a walking/running guide of London. It's utter rubbish as an action thriller.

Was ist da los?
@marksearby.comMy film reviews this week include an older version of a British legend, a buddy comedy in Russia and a real-time film running through London.

@nevermynd.bsky.socialAnyone else watch #primevideo #TheRunner while running on the treadmill? You can get at least a nice 10k out of it. 🏃🏻♀️➡️🏃🏻♀️➡️🏃🏻♀️➡️

In Kevin Macdonald’s latest feature, Gal Gadot races to save her kidnapped son. Run, don’t walk, to stream it now.
@jaysj1.bsky.socialGal Gadot runs, and runs, and runs in The Runner — a sloppy, illogical, breathlessly silly Prime Video thriller that is somehow also one of the most entertaining bad movies in recent memory. #TheRunner #GalGadot #DamianLewis #PrimeVideo #moviereview

@boomuk.bsky.socialNow on @PrimeVideo , The Runner, starring Gal Gadot.
The simplest of storylines has Gadot running - and that's about it. Can she save her son? Who cares. As a lame example in the race-against-time genre, this one needs to jog on.

#TheRunner
@tldrmovrev.bsky.socialWhile #TheRunner does not have the legs to make it to the end of its narrative, it does set up a conceptually interesting story.
@avforums.bsky.socialAfter her son is kidnapped, lawyer Maia Marten must race across London following instructions from a sinister caller in #TheRunner.
