We often wondered whether Blackfur remembered being in the house for that one night as a kitten, after he had been to the vet to have his enormous abscess drained. Sometimes he would stare quizzically in, as though he was trying to piece it all together 🐾

Dawn, probably distracted by another cat on the high plant ledge. High ledges were not Dawn's sort of thing - she was more of a ground-level cat with walls and trees included only if necessary, having fallen off a wall as a youngster and hurt her back 🐾

Sniffly Cat on the pavement outside the gate. We didn't know where she came from or where she went after she had eaten; she wasn't friendly, but she had a lovely disposition and, so long as her personal space was observed, she was very easy to care for 🐾

Blackfur liked to sleep with his feet touching the wall - sometimes elevated, but always touching the stone. He also liked to sleep on his back, sometimes quite comically. Maybe it was a tuxedo thing... 🐾
