Obi looks like he's been ready for this walk since ten minutes ago and Optimus looks like he just woke up from a nap. #StetChat

Today’s #StetChat has officially come to a close, but feel free to keep chatting! And if you couldn’t join the chat live, feel free to jump in and participate asynchronously—that’s the beauty of a Bluesky chat. :)

Thanks so much to everybody who participated!

A8: I'm the only person at my business. My #StetPets provide companionship and breaks throughout the day, and they're good listeners when I read manuscripts aloud. I think of them as morale officers for the company, except for my judgiest cat. He's a quality control officer. #StetChat

We've got our topics decided for the rest of 2026, but we're developing our topics for 2027!

What topics should #StetChat cover in the future chats? Who should we have on as a guest? 👀

Brilliant!!! #StetChat

Peri is very smart! #StetChat

A8: My cats make me so happy. :)

I love getting to cuddle and pet my little baby cats throughout the day. I love talking with them when I go to the kitchen to get water and petting them when I walk past them. #StetChat

Aww!

Muffin: These quarterly numbers are bad!

Zero: You've said it!

#StetChat

That's a really smart idea. I need to remember this if and when we get cats. #StetChat

Q8: What do you love the most about working from home with pets? #StetChat

Obi is Optimus's brother. Obi (left) walks very quickly. Optimus meanders at best. They cannot walk at the same time, so I get double walks when I stay with them. #StetChat

But their edits could be seen as improvements! You're thwarting their graciously given help! (I'm being very sarcastic here) #StetChat

A7: As a freelancer, I can make a schedule that works for me and my dog. I used to feel guilty about midday breaks. But it doesn't matter if the "real workday" isn't over. As long as we get the work done, when the work happens doesn't matter. #StetChat

I can only imagine if you had to pet sit a border collie or Rhodesian ridgeback at the same time at Optimus. Both those breeds need multiple, long walks. #StetChat
