28:REPAIR
We’ve seen huge strides in miniaturization in the last decade; shipyard-scale printing from carbonyl elements means that a ship that would have been scrapped can get back into the fight.
#SST26 Day 29, Spindle. Last but not least, this fella. No idea what it's for either. Maybe a relay or something.
Now I gotta work on the finale; this is going to take a while, depending on how quickly I can render.
"Welcome to Muskö! Said you've slagged the portside of your ship, hmm? I know Jugaad has been itching to inspect the damage you managed to do!"
> We're a bit short on water, so it's quite a relief to see your delivery. We'll get you fixed up.

Day 28: Repair. I considered a tender to accompany and support a combat fleet, but I think it would have been too big. So at my wife's suggestion I instead put some smaller ships repairing a larger, damaged one. Definitely getting burnt out now, but nearly there. #LEGO #Spaceshiptember #SST #SST26

More sketchbook doodles so far this month.
Another quick doodle: Harbour
25. Missiles!
The LRM-SP-11 is the Alliance's newest shield penetrator missile. This expensive warhead can generate its own power field, thus disrupting the target's defenses for a moment, enough to release submunitions into the breach.

#SST26 Day 28, Harbour. Biological pockets as docks. Instead of anus-looking entrances, it opens kinda like gills, rotates, folds, and the gate opens.
"There's no way point-defence cannons are the best solution here. A complement of lasers would be far less trouble."
> Less trouble to build and integrate, sure. But the little 'drones' are mostly tungsten. You could hold a beam on one all day.

27: GUNS
The Cerberus-class is armed with six macron cannons capable of firing microscopic carbon nanotube whiskers at around 20,000 km/s. The bottleneck so far has been reliably producing ammunition of the proper dimensions.
A Talus shuttle came to a careful stop in the narrow hexagonal chute. The parrot relay drones flew from the cargo hold. The swarm split into 6 groups, filing through holes on each wall.
"I worry about them. We've lost so many just this week."
#exegesis #Spaceshiptember #SST26 day 26: Scanners
A heavily modified freighter screamed through the canyon. What were previously bays for containers, now held 8 shuttles, their mission requiring a full load of reaction mass.

#27 GUN(s).
Compared to the variants that would be produced later on, the original 3 Colonial-class Battlecruisers featured a 112-meter-long magnetic accelerator, capable of firing an antimatter warhead with a yield of 430 megatons of kinetic impact alone.
Day 27: Guns. This cruiser started off as the unused draft for day 19 (Armored). Not as many guns on it as I might have liked, but I'm limited by my own budget. In fact, try as I might I can't get this under $3, but I refuse to compromise the look to save 8¢. #LEGO #Spaceshiptember #SST #SST26
