If the government spent the #SocialSecurityTrustFund they can repeal the #TaxCutsForTheRich to claw the money back, #ScrapTheCap & make the wealthy pay their fair share to make social security solvent. They wealthy owe the country. @c-span.bsky.social

Tying working people's pensions to 401K's has been disastrous. Pensions used to be sacrosanct. We need the laws the Reagan removed to be brought back to protect traditional pensions & to bring traditional pensions back & #ScrapTheCap #SaveSocialSecurity #handsoffSocialSecurity

Investing in the market for our retirements does not work. It's not a safe risk for working people. There is no regulation. @c-span.bsky.social should talk to actual working people not wealthy people like Norquist who no nothing of what this means for us. #ScrapTheCap

There is a fix for social security #ScrapTheCap @c-span.bsky.social Grover Norquist's forced promises on candidates should be illegal. He's done great damage to the country. He's not for democracy, he weakens democracy. #handsoffsocialsecurity

It's worse than that. They're robbing us 2X. Starting in the 70s the fruits of productivity went more & more to the wealthy investor class, bypassing SS tax. SS was set up to tax most of the revenue generated by labor, but the rich perverted it. We should be comfortable, not struggling.
