Day 1140 #recordsontheshelf #musicchallenge #vinylsky #vinyl Don Williams albums are consistently entertaining. His voice is warm and inviting, and the songs hold up (for the most part) across the decades. Nothing wrong with dropping a twoonie on a Williams record.

Day 16 #RecordsOnTheShelf
Bananarama, (Self-Titled)

... with everything intact.

Days 1139 #recordsontheshelf #musicchallenge #vinylsky #vinyl I found a Susan Raye at the 'charity shop pricing itself as a vintage store' in nearby Devon today, a place I visit about every 2nd year. I believe this is the 13th Raye in my collection; halfway there. My vinyl detector remains intact.

Day 15 #RecordsOnTheShelf

Philip Bailey
'Chinese Wall'

If you were a priest
I would wait at least
Up until confession time
And crawl into your box
Breathing like a fox
Hunting for obsession time

Robyn Hitchcock & The Egyptians
Element of Light
1986

The first Hitchcock record I bought. I was hooked from then on.

Day 14 #RecordsOnTheShelf
A couple of Hoyt's ...

More than 17 minutes of "Romancing the Stone." I'm in!
#RecordsOnTheShelf

You invite me to a war party
Me no want to go
Everybody seem to be inviting me to - a war party
Me no want to go
Heard about the last one
So thanks but-no
Thank you

Day 12 #RecordsOnTheShelf

Artists United Against Apartheid
'Sun City'

Days 1138 #recordsontheshelf #musicchallenge #vinylsky #vinyl One of those albums that has always been an 'under the radar' favourite. I have always loved it although I can go a decade without listening to it. So solid. This is the Canadian version, natch.

A nice Eddy Grant compilation! Found this at a flea market last year.

Days 1137 #recordsontheshelf #musicchallenge #vinylsky #vinyl At one point in my life, this is the exact hairstyle I wanted; another star I fell short of in my quest toward all things cool. I have given up such dreams and now just aim to draw breath at the beginning of each day. Susan Raye. Classic.

Day 11 #RecordsOnTheShelf

Eddy Arnold
'My World'

Dave Edmunds is one of those artists that I never pass on and he has never let me down! What a brilliant career he had.
