Das Foto zeigt einen Holztisch, auf dem ein Tablet mit der Vorlage ('Autumn Garden', painted by Ernest Biéler in the 1890s) liegt, sowie das mit Bleistift skizzierte und mit Buntstiften (Haut und Haare) und Aquarellgraphitstift (Kleid und Schuhe) colorierte Portrait. Das Portrait zeigt in der Vorlage eine junge Frau mit dunkler Hochsteckfrisur. Sie trägt ein leuchtend gelbes, wallendes, bodenlanges Kleid mit großen Puffärmeln. Sie sitzt mit angewinkelten Beinen auf einem Kürbisfeld und umfasst zwei Kürbisstiele mit ihren Händen, so als würde sie sie hochheben wollen. Das gezeichnete Portrait zeigt ebenfalls eine junge Frau, allerdings ist ihr Kleid nicht gelb sondern schwarz und sie umfasst keine Kürbisstiele sondern ein Paar schwarzer Doc Martens.
