Kids in K-3 (and their educators) receive no ELL support.

Our admin team fought for more support and last week we got an extra 0.5 allocation.
Now one teacher has a whole day to try to serve the needs of as many English language learners as they can.

Six years ago, my school was allocated 3 ELL teachers. Students in Gr. 2-8 received 40-150 minutes of language support a day, depending on their needs.
This year, my school was allocated half a teacher.
