For today's #OnlineArtExchange, we step into the Belle Époque with Charles Hoffbauer's "In the Restaurant" (1907).

A canvas breathing with metallic light: shimmering gold sequins, a veil of sheer silver, and amber whispers of bronze.

Today's #OnlineArtExchange theme is 'rural' for The Argyll Collection on Tour 🖼️

This view was painted by Dermod O'Brien near his birthplace, Mount Trenchard, in Co. Limerick. O'Brien depicts a rich landscape of cornfields with newly-harvested stooks stretching down to the wide grey Shannon.

A painting of a field with hay gathered in piles. The day is bright, with blue sky peaking through clouds, and in the distance we can see the sea.

For today’s @artukdotorg.bsky.social #OnlineArtExchange theme of ‘rural’, here is ‘Country Lane’, painted by E. H. Bull in 1909. The painting shows a view of the junction of Cranbrook Road and The Drive in Ilford before it became the bustling suburban town we know today.

We're out in the countryside for today's #rural #OnlineArtExchange @artukdotorg.bsky.social for The Argyll Collection on Tour #RSA200

We've chosen the drawings of Alexander Cozens with their charming details of rural life. Can you spot the sheep and the spire? 🐑

For this week's 'rural' theme, we're sharing this etching by Robin Tanner. Inspired by country labours, the landscape is based on the area around Corsham and Slaughterford.

My entry for today’s #OnlineArtExchange theme is 'Le Gué' (Cows on the Banks of the Gue), painted by Camille Corot around 1870.

I’m completely captivated by how he captures the calm water reflections and that soft, atmospheric evening sky.

Pure peacefulness.

A realistic oil painting depicting a serene rural landscape at sunset. In the foreground, there is a shallow stream with golden reflections in the water, where one cow stands and two others rest on the right bank. To the left, a shepherdess holding a staff observes the herd. The background features tall, slender trees silhouetted against a twilight sky filled with soft, hazy clouds in grey and yellowish tones.

My pick for today’s #OnlineArtExchange theme is 'The Hay Wain' (1821) by John Constable.

To me, this iconic masterpiece perfectly captures the heart and soul of the rural landscape and countryside life. Beautiful!
