@galenstone.bsky.socialMy stars, how people change.
Virtually unrecognizable today from the ragamuffin We all loved in the beginning in '08.

@zzorgon.bsky.socialMaybe because Donnie Darko is in the news again, this gem just showed up in my feed. (Upcoming sequel novel by Richard Kelly, the movie's writer/director). Besides playing autoharp, Nancy Cowan volunteers at the Phoenix Children's Hospital.
She has great captions.
@galenstone.bsky.socialTonight's song is just to wash the KLAN out of my mind.

@zzorgon.bsky.socialANÚNA is a vocal choir from Dublin, Ireland. Formed by composer Michael McGlynn in 1987, they got early recognition during the Riverdance craze, and still perform & record. They’ve had a slew of members over their 39 years. Soloing here is Ash McGlynn.
Take care.

@zzorgon.bsky.socialOne of these 🎶 showed up in my feed this morning. I thought “Huh, I don’t remember hearing *that* on Songs In The Key Of Life”. Turns out Stevie released a 4 song EP Monday, recorded at the same time but which didn’t make the album.
Old is the new New.

Ruby Mary Gill is a South African/Australian poet/musician. “I give thanks for this land and all lands that have raised me in birdsong and community.” Her 3rd album “Fishing” (which, she insists, is not about fishing) comes out in October.
Have a great evening.
@galenstone.bsky.socialTonight's song comes from my salad days
with a message that is unfortunately, still relevant.

If you listen to Tiny Desk (El Tiny) you’ve caught some of the outstanding Spanish language music they’re showcasing now. Peru's Los Mirlos (The Blackbirds) are funky Cumbia pioneers & have played since 1972. See them in Colombia, Ecuador & Brazil in Oct.
Enjoy.
@galenstone.bsky.socialSome nights you just wanna' forget politics and remember a time when you didn't worry about what a lunatic might do.

@zzorgon.bsky.socialMy crankiness is working overtime today. Needing to hear something simple.
Seems like a daunting task to give yourself, writing a song about MLK Jr., but Margaret Glaspy pulls it off. She plays Boston tonight, NY this week, then on to Europe for October.
G'night.
@galenstone.bsky.socialTonight's song really should be the
