Another nice review for Ep293 (this time from a #gtfc fan!), as well as a nice review of this expectation-defying Newport County team. 💪🏻

If you're one of the people being nice about us on the League 2 subreddit, then thank you, you're lovely.

And if you're NOT one of those people and want to find out why they're so effusive, download Ep293 of the pod, out now, discussing the victory over #gtfc!

Lovely to see the @dn35.bsky.social boys say that "Newport’s pace in attack had us terrified at times". That is categorically not a sentence which could have been written in either of the last two seasons. Inject it into our veins. 💉💉💉

Great to have @officeofwilson.com (of @codalmighty.bsky.social fame) on Saturday's pod to give a #gtfc perspective.

Wherever you're going today, and whatever the reason, we hope your journey isn't as embarrassing and cringeworthy as the one undertaken yesterday by the matchball in that pointless little car thing... 🚗😞

Forgot to post yesterday but a great win for Newport County beating Grimsby Town, two great goals. Less said about the goalkeeping howler at the other end. #NCAFC #NewportCounty #EFL

Ian Street left his hat in the Murenger, and we’re all having a turn.

G'wan County! Superb second half, bar Wright's brain fart. So many great performances. #ncafc

This win is for you, Weed.

At the risk of stating the obvious, first goal in this is massive. Both teams are set up to have a proper go.

Tough fixture this afternoon. Grimsby undefeated, us unbeaten at home. Shall we wave our lighters in the air and join in with the old favourite chorus "Settle for a point today, lads?"

Before attention turns to the Cymru 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 game tonight, let us plug our preview chat with @dn35.bsky.social about Saturday's home match versus Grimsby.

As Alex tells us here, there are a few glimmers of hope as County play a side undefeated in the league so far...
