Mastodon upgraded to 4.7.2 #mastoadmin

Updated to latest #Mastodon v4.7.2 and made sure Linux was patched up to date as well. No sign of issues so far. #mastoadmin

Interesting finding: when I'm at home (where my Mastodon instance is in the same network), the official Mastodon Android app barely works at all. It loads *super* slow. Visiting with the browser works normally.

When I'm not home, the Mastodon app works fine again.

If your are facing lots of registration attempts in the last hours, you can configure #nginx to allow only n calls of the sign up page for an IP.

The example is for 3 calls/min and then 404 for 10 min
