With unsettling speed, the toadwoman swiped an empty clay pot from the stack. Into it went a small, perfect scoop of white rice. She handed Marty the bowl along with a printed napkin. Then, with a bellow, she swiveled in place and cried, “NEXT!” W…what am I supposed to do with…? This time, the toadwoman spoke the answer. “Read the napkin, it’ll tell you what to do. Don’t be left inside after the closing third bell.” Then the crowd pushed and Marty was swept forward, the toadwoman disappearing behind the shoulders of a grumpy Yuan-Ti holding a heavy pack.
