And this is the surreal part: Faletti’s was rebuilt, reopened, and is still a real place in #Lahore that people walk into today.

Old work hits differently when something that once existed on your screen eventually exists in the city. :)

Faletti’s has been part of #Lahore since the late 19th century.

By the 1990s it had begun to crumble; the 2008 FIA bombing then badly damaged the surrounding area & #Faletti’s interior.

The ballroom floor caved in.

This wasn’t a facelift. It was about bringing a place back

Some of my work at Malik & Malik Architects, back when I was working in #graphicdesign and architectural #visualisation, building out parts of the rebuilding and revival vision in SketchUp + Photoshop.
