#KOFtober Day 3— Favorite COTW Newcomer.

Is it sad to say that we got more Guests than original characters in this game? Obviously, I'm going with Preecha. Vox is fine from a gameplay standpoint, but damn if he isn't bland.

Day 1 of #KOFtober: Favourite SNK character

A basic choice maybe, but the guy's popular for a reason. It's Terry, of course!

(Please forgive any mistakes, the lore of Fatal Fury and KOF is messy at the best of times, and so is my writing 😅)

#SNK #TerryBogard

“You’re leaving? Tomorrow?”
It had been a good day for Terry Bogard so far. Groceries went quick and nothing was sold out. He ran into some old friends he hadn’t seen in a while and had a good conversation. He won big at today’s basketball session. Needless to say, he was in a good mood when he arrived at the café next to the gym where he and his brother had their usual sparring matches. So the last thing he was expecting was for his brother to tell him he’d be out of town.
“First Joe and Rock, and now you? At this rate I’m going to start to feel lonely,” Terry joked.
“This shouldn’t come as a surprise to you, Terry. I’ve mentioned plans to travel with Mai for a while now.” Andy took a sip of his tea. “Besides, it should only be about a month.”
Terry made an impressed whistle. “Wow, things are getting serious between you two, huh? I still remember the days when she could barely get your attention.”
Andy got slightly red in the face, but he also smiled. He looked out the window next to their table.
“Things really have changed, haven’t they?”
The table went quiet as both brothers looked at South Town’s skyline, reminiscing about their days fighting in the streets, chasing down Geese Howard and his cronies. The various tournaments they’ve joined and were victorious in. Even the city’s destruction and subsequent rebuilding by its citizens.
Terry loved South Town, and in a way he and the city were similar, he mused. Always the same old reliable self, but also changing little by little. He wondered what his younger self might think of him now. Even having an adoptive son would’ve been unthinkable to him a decade ago.
Suddenly Andy got up from his seat, and looked at Terry resolutely.
“Well? Shall we head for the gym? Wouldn’t want my brother to start slacking off before I’ve even left.” Terry grinned and finished his drink.
“Oh, you’re on.”

The sun was setting by the time Terry got back to his apartment. The lights inside were off, of course, as Rock was on a cross country trip with some of his friends. Terry was glad and proud that the boy was finally making friends, yet he couldn’t help but feel that pang of loneliness. He flexed his arm’s muscles a bit as he searched his pockets for his keys. Andy has completely trounced him this time. The last time Terry had been this off his game was directly after his father had been murdered. You’re impatient, or so Andy claimed. Was that really all to it? Or had he changed in some fundamental, unnoticed way lately?
Terry’s thoughts were interrupted when he managed to open the front door and a crumple was heard beneath his shoe as he stepped inside. There weren’t a lot of physical letters being sent these days due to digitalization, so the ones that were sent were usually important. Terry reached down to pick up the piece of paper, and his eyes immediately fell on the red seal. His eyes widened when he realized what this was.
An all too familiar invitation.

“Of all the times for you guys to skip South Town…”

I got hit by writer's block and depression on the very first day of October, so I am already behind on #KOFtober, but I'm gonna catch up now. I'll post Day 1 in a bit, and then get to work on the next two!

#1 Favorite #SNK Character: Geon from King of the Monsters

I really should try drawing more kaiju characters...

Kim Kaphwan
Kim Kaphwan is my favorite character case he is a kicking feind with a overzealous sense of justice. He is the straight man surrounded by jokers. 1st time I saw his super, sealed the deal.

Easily Shingo. Ash and Vice come very close, but this little goober is just so goddamn endearing it's hard not to laugh with him.
