A new #FreeBSD ports feature came in recently: BUILD_RUN_DEPENDS

Some ports have the same depends for both RUN and BUILD. Specifying them twice wasn't fun.

Do you have a special jail on #FreeBSD which has no network access? You can update that jail (FOO) from the host with this command:

#FreeBSD is really getting on my nerves. Upgraded a jail from 15.0 to 15.1, the /bin is empty now. This system used to be reliable. How did it become such a mess?

I was able to finally automate #freebsd in my #homelab . Not as easy to provision images as #arch #debian or #ubuntu but it may be more rewarding?

Opus 5.5 now has finished accelerated GPU paths for the Dragon Q8B on #FreeBSD. Roughly the same FPS as Radxa's Ubuntu image.

Now to get it to clean up the mess.

Did #FreeBSD 15.1 rc.conf change how network interfaces are setup? On 14.4 my rc.conf would create the ip alias0 192.168.0.2 but now on 15.1 it did not. I went and looked up RelNotes for 14.4, 15.0 and 15.1 and saw nothing. Bug? Bad rc.conf lines?

I have pointed Claude Opus 5.5 at the #FreeBSD source and the #Radxa Dragon Q8B. It has a near feature complete driver for the two ethernet ports. Now it's iterating on more driver support via SSH.
