A group of community cats gather around some plates of food under porch furniture for breakfast. In front are two orange cats (possibly father & son?). At far right a large black cat is partly seen. In the middle of everything is a white-with-gray-tabby-spots cat staring up at the camera. Behind her are the single remaining kitten from her spring litter and the smallest kitten who looks like her from the summer litter. Further back (not pictured) are two more kittens from her summer litter, who are STILL living in the engine compartment of my car.
This is the smallest kitten's first day back on the front porch, having been dropped off on the back porch by CQ, apparently to be raised by Maman, who had 2 spring kittens and 5 summer kittens of her own. It all looks suspiciously like CQ attempted to cheat-win their most-kittens contest by sending in a sneezy kitten to infect Maman's group. Meanwhile, another tomcat has been successfully TNR'd but CQ & Maman remain elusive and fertile.

A single pair of unspayed and unneutered cats and their offspring can theoretically produce up to 420,000 kittens over the span of 7 years due to exponential breeding.

Communities that enact TNR programs for colonies can help to stop this.
