@cornwallcouncil.bsky.socialResidents near #Falmouth Docks are being advised that they may need to evacuate tomorrow, Wednesday, September 23, as the safety cordon around unexploded WWII ordnance is expected to expand from 300 metres to 1,400 metres.
@cornwallcouncil.bsky.socialPartner agencies continue to assess the unexploded ordnance in #Falmouth and work is ongoing to determine the safest course of action.
A 300-metre cordon is in place while specialist assessments are carried out.
It is likely that the cordon will be expanded as work progresses.

@cornwallcouncil.bsky.socialPolice have extended a safety cordon to 300m following the discovery of a suspected unexploded ordnance device near #Falmouth Docks.
Specialist Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) are on the scene assessing the device, believed to be a 250kg American missile from World War Two.
