Today's #HistNursing #Badge is #Dudley Road Hospital #Birmingham

The arch design was based on the 1/4 mile long corridor with 9 wards running off it. Est 1887 as DRH, it was renamed City Hospital & closed 2024.

The top half of the badge in silver is a repeating arch motif creating an endless corridor. underneath in large capitals is FRH 1887 silver on royal blue enamel. The nurses must have needed very comfy walking shoes....
