An unusual example even by #Dartmoor hill farmers standards. Note the essential ingredient - baling twine or polypropylene rope.

@tabithamacbethart.bsky.socialSometimes I visit somewhere and it kind of merges with me. This happened with this place on Dartmoor: an orange-brown hill amongst the green, viewed from Brent Tor.
I’ve just now finished tweaking my drawing of “Purr of the Hill” and it will be in my 2027 calendar 🧡

@rickgaehl.bsky.socialOne of my favourite places on Dartmoor is Wistman's Wood - a boulder-strewn hillside, densely-packed with stunted oaks, mosses, lichens, and ferns; a small oasis of residual temperate rainforest in the barren expanse of the Moor.

A rocky outcrop on #Dartmoor.
The type of outcrop that requires imagination when fencing in sheep, least they leap off, as is their wont.
