More inktober! I like how these ones turned out. Focused more on the subject rather than rendering this time!

This #cactus makes us look like we are going into a spin. The #geometric shapes and #Patterns give a almost #surreal / #Abstract view. Shot near our #Stockport #photography #studio. Buy a #print, #wallart or #poster of this image or others at www.darrensmith.org.uk #plantphoto

Astrophytum capricorne var. niveum (白瑞鳳玉) again with a flower just under two weeks later

Thought I may not participate at first but then I took the opportunity to complete the last pages in my book and finally start a new one

Not going to be perfect but it will open my mind to draw with pens more

Day 4. Ignore the shrunken-head. Proportions and scale, added to my "to learn" list. #cactus #clint #inktober #notanartist

This was photographed in Calgary in June 2025. The main subject was labelled as Opuntia polyacantha 'Colorado Red' but apparently it's really a form of O. chymochila so it probably isn't hardy here. It's clearly growing a lot of new pads but I've never had it flower.

#inktober day 4: Cactus (Let's pretend it's only Day 4)
I got bored of drawing just a still object (kind of) so I will probably put arms and legs on inanimate objects from now on. it's more fun 👀
