At least Rika & everyone’s favourite furry icon isn’t being completely benched

Rika’s mother kinda sucks

Wait, I thought this was the point they didn’t absorb Digimon anymore.

So we have a rural Japanese island setting with its own myth

A jerk character named Kai

And a grandpa in a traditional Japanese home

Sure, this isn’t Beyblade: Fierce Battle?
@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #BattleOfAdventurers

So has their talented grandpa for that matter

Of course, like all of the parents and grandparents, the grandpa dismisses Digimon as dogs

@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #BattleOfAdventurers

Whoops, looks like Takato got a bit of heat stroke

Nice one, Kai at least you make up for it by looking for your cousin

Uh-oh Kai discovers the helpful hungry Guilmon

@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #BattleOfAdventurers

Also like the other Kai, he’s ditched Takato to make it to the vacation home on his own

Definitely do not try Kai’s swimming in the sea at home

@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #BattleOfAdventurers

Wow Kais are just born to be jerks aren’t they?

This aesthetic reminds me of the Beyblade movie actually speaking of

#Digimon #DigimonTamers #BattleOfAdventurers

Takato makes a quick appearance on TV unfortunately I don’t think his parents have VCR/recording

Oh Takato is really not feeling this at all
@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #BattleOfAdventurers

Must be trippy for Takato to have a cousin who sounds exactly like dub Davis

Well, that Vpet Dudebro does not mind the commotion as long as the commotion becomes customers

@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #BattleOfAdventurers

So like the other Kai Takato’s Kai is nowhere to be found

Until he pops up on TV with VPet Dudebro there I’m sure that’s not important

@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #BattleOfAdventurers

Takato really doesn’t wanna do this vacation. Wait Henry travels on his own too?

Awww Henry is such a lovely friend

Terriermon is a gobshite

Calumon is a handful

@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #BattleOfAdventurers

Like a certain other Kai, it looks like Takato’s cousin Kai is a jerk

Where is airport security? Calumon is just running about.

@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #BattleOfAdventurers

Anyway, welcome to

“Battle Of Adventurers”
OR
“Guilmon’s Vacation”

Wait, how did they get him on the plane?
@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #BattleOfAdventurers

You know it makes more sense for Digimon Tamers to have the Frontier theme since the Disney transition happened late in that run

@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #BattleOfAdventurers

So Takato is off on a summer vacation against his will all by himself

Japan, everyone!

Though at least his dad questions it oh and Henry’s gonna be there too
@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #BattleOfAdventurers

We start off this Digimon Tamers movie with some Digimon Adventure cameos (Omnimon & Apocalymon)

I guess that explains the name

Oh noes Mephistomon has gotten away
