I don't give a fuck about this barely-there-ass character Chiwetel Ejiofor is allegedly playing. He cashed his checks, certainly. What there was for him to do when he showed up to work, though... it seems like mostly get filmed crawling around a dumb, cheap set (and I know Parsons would be, like, 'They're not cheap!' but he would say that if he got away with financial crimes padding the budget of this thing as I'm starting to suspect) making upsetting breathy efforting noises and occasionally going, "Oh, God, I can't believe this!" THIS IS NOTHING! THERE ISN'T A MOVIE OR STORY HERE!

I did worry for a minute that the whole movie was found footage, and I was honestly about to lose it.

This still isn't what I'd call a movie or a story, nor is it populated by what I would call characters or people, but at least it's not just VHS Hardcore Henry for 2+ hrs 😑

It's actually pretty rare that I just flat loathe a movie and am rooting against it this hard by the time its title card comes up. That's an exceptional level of vitriol, even for me

But I smoked (vaped) a bunch of weed & now I'm lit af, so I've given not-a-real-movie #Backrooms a fighting chance 😤

I'm willing to call this a fresh start, and just put all that cheap, kitschy, gimmicky bullshit I was just put through behind us. As long as it doesn't happen again...
