There seemed to be some interest, so I took some more in depth pictures of my process for city bases (alt text for details.)

@weidbrewer.bsky.socialMy next blind box draws was technically an Ice Ferret, but those aren't available to the Mercs faction in the ilClan era, so I had to pull another - the Guillotine.

@weidbrewer.bsky.socialThe next blind box was the venerable Orion.
The color scheme is an evolution of the one I did as a kid in the 90s. Instead of black with B/R highlights, I changed to a camo pattern

@fochtsnetwork.bsky.socialStar League vs AFFS Control & melee fisticuffs tonight at WWAC! Classic players grabbed girders for clobberin' time & #AlphaStrike players had an ilClan era King of the Hills!

@weidbrewer.bsky.socialJust began another playthrough of #Aces with my buddy, and I decided to try something: I picked my half of the force completely with blind boxes. First up was this Enforcer

@koldunya.spaceit would break my heart if there was another print run of the Commander's Edition book
though allegedly they are playtesting the next big AS release or something iirc from some rumors
@battletech.bsky.socialPlay #BattleTech in a new way with the Alpha Strike box set!
Complete with 13 battle-ready miniatures, terrain, the rules for #AlphaStrike, and other tools to get you started, so you are ready to start playing the moment you open the box!
@weidbrewer.bsky.socialBanshees being the mech of the week finally got me back to my #BlackThorns. I have more coming - I actually painted the whole rest of the unit. Just need to finish bases.

@weidbrewer.bsky.socialI had some Banshees in this week's Mechfrog video, but only two of them were new. For one, I had the Old 'N Ugly model, that of COURSE had to join my DCs.

@koldunya.spaceI remember an #alphastrike game I played where the dude with an ACTUAL COPY OF COMMANDER'S EDITION was using wrong colored dice for TMMs for different movement modes.
BRO lol. Why are you like this? lol
He just went along assuming we all knew wtf he was on about or I guess assumed we would ask
@koldunya.spacethe #battletech #alphastrike ability JMPW1 seems dumb for faster moving 'mechs. I get it on a heavy or assault that moves 6" and jumps for 4" like a King Crab variant.
But the Shadow Cat moves 16 f'ing inches and still jumps for 12" lol. why should it have a penalty for that?
@ariesgamesandminis.bsky.socialA new miniature, the FastLane Hover Tank and restocks are up from Cross Electric Designs
