Here's the thing, it's 1st vs last, I expected a bad result. It's the effort I've seen from players on #SportingKC tonight that is really getting me frustrated. The lack of touch tight marking, the laissez faire recovery runs to help out the back line, the "disinterest" by some.

#SportingKC trails league leading Nashville SC at the half 3-0.

Halftime. 3-0 Nashville.

Sub out Andre Luiz and save him for a more winnable game on the weekend. This one is lost. #SportingKC #NSHvSKC

Well, there ya go, #SportingKC. You can change your corner defense, go from heavy zone to heavy man, but if your coaching is poor, it won't matter. Shapi was too far out in zone that should dissuade that ball. SReid should never at any point be standing at his mark's back to make that run so easy.

Andre and Ruben Ramos Jr. have flipped spots. Andre isn't defending much, and if he's full healthy I'd be shocked.

But Ramos isn't a natural wide mid either. They just don't have anyone healthy. #SportingKC #NSHvSKC

Goal against number 71 on the season, setting a new club record for GA in a single season, topping the 70 they allowed last year. #SportingKC

Nashville get a 3rd.

71 goals allowed this year. The record is 78 (2024 San Jose).

They might just give it up tonight since it's only 31' in. #SportingKC #NSHvSKC

#SportingKC defense is not close to MLS level with injuries. Not sure if healthy, but schoolboy stuff tonight.

Why was Jayden Reid in CB position on second goal? Before that, he's walking around like he's miserable. Think he would be trying to take advantage of this opportunity #SportingKC

Nashville score again.

They are going into the space Ian James is vacating over and over. If he's going to play RB (and I get it, they are banged up), he needs to stay home and turn it into more of a back three because Andre Luiz isn't going to defend. #SportingKC #NSHvSKC

Take nothing away from the great finish. But if Shapi's gonna chest that down in the box, he HAS to be stronger and not get dispossessed from behind there. #SportingKC

Shapi fails to clear it and one pass later and Mukhtar with a half bicycle/side volley and Nashville are up 1-0. #SportingKC #NSHvSKC

Good lord Hany Mukhtar. What a goal. Nashville lead #SportingKC 1-0

Andre Luiz creates an opportunity for Bassong but he scuffs it. Gotta at least put the keeper to work. #SportingKC #NSHvSKC

Heavy rotation with 5 new starters. The kids up front (S. Reid, Ramos Jr.), Shapi on the left and two new fullbacks.

Jake Davis and Capita available off the bench. #SportingKC

Seymour Reid getting his 1st MLS start tonight. Only Ramos's 4th. #SportingKC

It's a triple game week. Game two on the road at Nashville. #SportingKC need points to climb out of the basement.
