The belly buttons? I want my pots to live, and everything alive has a scar

The holes in the feet? So water can drain out after rinsing

This lovely juicer was a refire- originally glazed with just Mayco green tea which came out a bit flat, so I added Amaco’s textured turquoise, did a slow refire to cone 6 and 🤩

Made a test tile cup so I can look at my newest glazes all day without people thinking I’m weird for keeping 20 test tiles in my bag 😅

I was just beginning to design Dalton's Brookie when I had to move away from the community studio I'd been working out of so there's only been a handful of pieces I've tried this out on so far. The dip cup in the middle of these platters can make some designs tricky to work out, but inspiration struck and working in the round like this instead of cutting across the middle was definitely the right way to do it!

I like throwing wide pieces on hydrobats, because I can come back after leaving them overnight and they pop off, uniformly dry more or less, ready to trim

Any excuse to indulge in my love of antiquing! I have made lamps before, but not with thrifted glass shades like these. I got the idea a couple years ago, but had no means to fire anything until very recently. Excited to get things going again!I think it will ultimately end up a bit short for this particular glass shade, but I'm actually quite pleased with the tall, narrow forms like this. Heavy on the crystal ball vibes already with a globe shade, I plan to put a color changing LED light bulb into this one!
