I haven't gotten to spend any time with the games yet...

But I really enjoyed the anticipation of waiting for that flashing purple light and seeing people get exciting about their #Playdate again.

So worth the price of admission so far.

A little animation goes a long way to make the character more lively imho.

Making more progress on my #playdate jam game! There's some preliminary scoring in place now as well as a few more effects! Might be a little visually busy, and I think gets too frantic too quickly, so I need to work on scaling spawner logic back, but it's coming along!

I haven't shared the progress of the #Playdate and LÖVE game (the gif is the LÖVE version of course because it has colour lol) for a long time. But we've basically been doing some pixelart to improve how the game looks and polishing some mechanics.

A fresh new edition of the Wanderer's Guide to the Ruhevolk is now part of any new Wanderer kit.

Due to popular demand, the spicy and incredibly cringe section "7. Love in the Ruhevolk" has been removed from this Period's edition.

Critical thoughts on #Playdate season 3:
So far, the games here are more ambitious than a lot of S1/S2. Gloom Gate alone blows anything I remember out of the water in scale and ambition. But it isn’t lost on me that the cost of entry to this season is unchanged, while the number of games is.

Star bento is shaping up to consist of about 50 locations, all hand drawn!

More thoughts on #GloomGate from #Playdate season 3: having learned how the 3D effect is achieved has me only more impressed. But with a few hours of play, this is also just an excellently designed game and some of the most fun I’ve had on my Playdate since getting it

#Playdate の顔にもなった『Root Bear』開発元の新作、 #SoggyFroggy は相変わらず可愛く、気が利いていて、難しい！あっという間に過熱する湯船をかき混ぜて微調整。テンポが早くて頭が混乱、咄嗟に冷ましすぎてしまう。短く遊べるから、出先でやるのにちょうどよさそう。

おまけで占いもできる。「醤油は何にでも合う。」とのありがたいお告げ。

ついに出た、 #GloomGate 。めっちゃ楽しい。回避、パリィ、スタガー、ガード、溜め攻撃などなど、本格アクションゲームと言って良いと思う。何より #Playdate で立体的なアニメーションがヌルヌル動く感動。

いわゆるソウルライクで、倒れると経験値を落として焚き火に戻されるけど、そこまで理不尽な難易度ではないのも好き。
