After a break to rest out weary legs, we headed over to the Deaf Institute Main Hall for local boys (kinda) thistle. They make a glorious racket! #manchesterpsychfest #mpf

Staying in YES, but moving downstairs to the very crowded Metronomic Underground, for the Healing Power 9f Horses. The singer oozed a kind of quiet charisma, enjoyable stuff #manchesterpsychfest #mpf

After a break for food, we stayed in the YES Pink Room for S.G. Goodman. Love her Americana-meets-everything else sound, so this was a real treat (with added Butthole Surfers cover)! #manchesterpsychfest #mpf

Our next stop was YES, specifically the Pink Room, to see Silver Gore. I'd only heard a couple of tracks previously by them, but enjoyed this a lot ##manchesterpsychfest #mpf

Over to the Apollo next for Gwenno, who'd I'd seen live with the Pipettes 20-odd years ago, but never solo. I'm so glad I did see her though, this was beautiful and spellbinding stuff ##manchesterpsychfest #mpf

Gig number 33 of 2026 and @wcba.bsky.social and I are at Manchester Psych Fest. First stop is the Academy for the epic sounds Anna von Hausswolff. Powerful vocals and some at times remarkable music, this was enjoyable stuff #manchesterpsychfest #mpf
