One detail we kept returning to in this Chaoyangmen Park model: the tower's curved vertical ribs. Their spacing has to hold a clean rhythm through the bend, while the dark glazing stays quiet enough for the silhouette to lead. Where would you look first? #ArchitecturalModel #ModelMaking

Creating additional masks for the 1400 D. I'm using MaskDesign and Greenstrawberry vinyl masks for this kit, but both exclude the lifeboats and rim windows for both hulls.

Adobe Illustrator, calipers, and a Cameo 4 made this pretty easy

Solar studies are one of my fav parts of physical modelling ☀️

They show how orientation, openings & depth change as light moves, revealing spaces that a static render can’t always explain. #Architecture is never really experienced under one fixed light. 🫶
