The Irish Presidency’s draft EU budget cuts Global Europe, the EU’s external action budget, by 17%. That’s the deepest cut of any part of the budget.

We stand with MEPs Carla Tavares and Siegfried Mureșan in rejecting it. EU leaders must reverse these cuts.

The Irish Presidency has proposed a new #MFF negobox, which includes an average 17.4% cut in funding for Global Europe. The "Enlargement and Europe" pillar falls from €38.1 to €32.6 billion (in 2025 prices), while the Ukraine Reserve remains unchanged
