When performing or delivering a product, EVERYTHING communicates. The costume you (or your employee) wears, the box the product is in… it's all an experience. Learn to deliver better experiences. #makingmagic

There is space for all kinds in magic, and if you just want to collect tricks, go for it! But if you want to perform… you owe your audiences excellence. #makingmagic

No great work, especially in the arts, is done by a single person. Build great teams and acknowledge their contributions if you want success! #makingmagic #business

It's understandable to take the approach of the empiricist, wanting to fully understand and measure everything. But it is equally important to leave yourself open to wonder and mystery, because that's where progress happens! #makingmagic

There are many reasons we perform magic. Mostly, it's just fun. But we should be aware we are creating experiences that will transform our audiences. How would you be changed if you saw your show? #makingmagic

I kind of hate it that this is true, but kindness in social discourse has become a rarity. Like sharing a moment of magic — it can change someone else's day, and even their lives. The good news: It's usually free to give! #makingmagic

Ever enjoyed playing a sport or even a game? It was fun, wasn't it? Learn to love that same kind of conflict when it pops up in your life, and you're already more than halfway to success! #makingmagic

That should all be obvious, but I know far too many magical performers who are difficult and demanding—and lost work because they are known to be so. You can be meticulous without being difficult. #makingmagic

It's true, reality is an illusion each of us creates from sensory input, previous experience, culture, assumptions… and much of that can be influenced. #makingmagic

If you want a successful career as a performer, learn to take responsibility for every aspect of your audience's experience, from buying the tickets to their conversation after seeing the show. That's a major key to success! #makingmagic

You might not know that purpose when you start creating… but the minute it becomes clear to you, every decision after than becomes clearer! #makingmagic #beyonddeception
