Pain Nate #paintnet #fancharacter #art

One of my ideas was to create a fan-made mascot for Paint.NET. I decided to design him my own way, keeping him clean and simple rather than trying to make him look official. His name, Pain Nate, is a pun on the software's name. You might think his face is missing, but it isn't, his hair covers his eyes, and only his nose and mouth are visible. I originally made a turnaround sheet for him, but I scrapped it, and that led to this artwork. I'm proud of how he turned out.

OC-tober Day 7: Backstory

It's development week! I decided to write about how one character, Chroma, joined the exploration team he's in with Digit and co. I don't write very often so pardon me if things sound a bit weird

#bweirdOCtober #oc #fancharacter #kirby

Drawing of Chroma, a mostly cyan squid whose other body parts are different vibrant colors, underwater looking towards the surface. The top left shows an OC-tober calendar marking October 7th, and the prompt, "Backstory." To the right is the backstory I decided to write. "Chroma Gillbert has always been an anxious person, but he didn't always travel the world in an exploration team. He used to live underwater, in an Atlantis-esque town under the waves that land-dwellers rarely even ventured to. The people who live there are generally closed-off and wary of outsiders as a result. Chroma had always dreamed of the world above the water, and by the time he was a teenager he regularly visited the land above. It was a beautiful thing, seeing the grass and the trees, and the tall buildings and the even taller mountains. He drew or painted everything he saw. As he got older and kept visiting the surface, Chroma's anxiety developed further. It didn't help that his parents tried to tell him not to go above water anymore. They weren't bad parents by any means--but Chroma never wanted to be around when they started fighting. His friends didn't really seem to care about him that much, either. One day, Chroma found an invitation in a surface town he visited. Something about joining an exploration team. Chroma didn't know what to do, but he didn't want to let this opportunity pass him up, so he took the poster for himself. Eventually, some of his friends saw him holding it. They couldn't resist asking about it--Chroma felt like his inner thoughts had been pried out of him, for the world to watch. Finally, one of them made a dangerous dare. They didn't think Chroma would actually sign up for the damn team. Surely he didn't have the spine to even go a foot near the place. That was the last day Chroma went back to the town under the waves."

Chiyo’s first meeting with Choso. Not as warm and fuzzy as one would hope for future lovers, but who can blame her in the middle of the Shibuya Incident
—- (read the alt text I put lore in there)
#jjk #jjkoc #yume #yumeship #yumeoc #choso #chosokamo #chosoxoc #ocart #fancharacter

Tsurumaki Chiyo, a Jujutsu Kaisen OC, is confronting Choso in Shibuya station during the Incident. She’s guarded, demanding to know where Itadori is; their meeting takes place immediately after Sukuna terrorizes the city, and Chiyo is trying to retrace Yuji’s steps to protect him before someone else can find him and kill him. On the way she meets Choso, someone she has a gut feeling has been in contact with Yuji. Not recognizing him as another sorcerer, she assumes him to be an enemy. Choso is recovering from the emotional turmoil of realizing Yuji is his brother, and that Choso had tried to kill him. When Chiyo finds him, demanding to know where Itadori is, he’s relieved, feeling like his suspicion that Yuji survived their encounter was correct. He wants to ally with this woman to find Yuji again.

The cool thing about OC-tober is I don't have to do every day in a row

OC-tober Day 4: Underappreciated OC
I feel like I don't draw Kraft as much as I should because he's a bit hard to draw. Such is the way of the Dry Bones

#bweirdOCtober #art #oc #fancharacter #mario #drybones

Drawing of Kraft, a Dry Bones (skeletal turtle creature) with charred-brown bones, wearing red gloves, shoes, and bowtie. He's giving a shrug, apathetic to being underappreciated. The top left shows an OC-tober calendar marking October 4th, and the prompt, "Underappreciated OC."
