a void a buzz with anticipation where every particle negotiates its next leap

and beginnings multiply, collide and burst into astonishment :-)

or fizzle and thud :-/

We grow and we leave
but our roots stay in place.

A thrill it was to

They'd line the windows,
backlit shadows
to see us ascend
the boarding stair.

Now, we part
ahead of time.

and off they rush--

Frantic moths patter their wings against the street lamp.

In those stormy times I was not much different. At least they get to glow for a moment.

But today I choose to embark on a new path. Whether the Furies follow is up to them.
