BC and YT are now permanently on MST (UTC -7) but they want to call it Pacific Time and Yukon Time instead of MST. No idea why.

AB is now permanently CST (UTC -6) like SK next door, but they want to call it Alberta Time. Again, no idea why. 2/? #DST

Politicians are strange. With Alberta and British Columbia switching to what they want to call "Permanent Daylight Saving Time" they've actually simplified Canada's time zone system but •need• to complicate it by inventing new names for existing time zones. 1/? #DST

Childhood should be filled with learning, friendships, discovery, and dreams for the future. Child marriage can interrupt education and limit opportunities for girls. Protect her future. End child marriage. #DayOfTheGirl#InvestInGirls#GirlsRights#EndChildMarriage#EPAC#SWR#DST

OK, I agreed to give up an hour in March, with the idea I'd get it back this fall.

Now Danny Sith put permanent #DST in #Alberta. I'm not going to get that hour back - ever!

She's stealing our #time! OK, for me, it's just an hour. But, multiply by 5 million Albertans, that's grand larceny!

Ah, QLD… 10yrs and 1hr behind the rest of the world!! #DST 😎

I LOVE DAYLIGHT SAVINGSSSSS!! 😁😁😁😁

Aside from the lack of sleep, it's the best day of the year!

Yes I will die on this hill.

📚 Education is more than a classroom—it is opportunity. Investing in girls’ education gives them greater opportunities to pursue careers, become leaders, make informed choices, and build the futures they envision for themselves.#InternationalDayOfTheGirlChild#EPAC#DST

Don’t forget that it’s un-Australian to set your clocks forward early and just go to bed. We all have to stay up and get drunk and blazed and wind them forward together at the official time. It’s a nation-building exercise, for those who celebrate.

Every girl deserves to know that her voice matters. When girls are encouraged to speak, advocate for themselves, and participate in decisions that affect their lives, they become powerful agents of change. Today, remind a girl that what she thinks, feels, dreams, and says matters.❤️#EPAC#SWR#DST
