DESCRIPTION: In the late 1970’s, sightings and legends of a creature was spotted in the woods of Maryland US known as the ‘Goatman’ or ‘Maryland Goatman’.

Described as a half man, half goat humanoid, sometimes having brown or black fur, closely resembling a Faun from Mythology. It is also said to wield an axe.

The Goatman wanders the forests of Maryland and attacks anyone with it’s axe, that it comes across (usually young couples). There are even stories of the Goatman mimicking human voices to lure victims to their doom. The origin of the Goatman varies in many tales. Some say he was a farmer that was cursed, others tell of a satanic ritual gone wrong. But the well known tale, is that he was once a scientist experimenting with animals such as goats, but backfired and turned him into a human goat hybrid with a lust of jealousy and blood.
