Some might say that was our karma. A few things went against us (such as a truly awful performance from the referee), but you can’t let a bang average team like Lyon get a two-goal lead against you twice. You’ve got to be better than that. 🤷‍♂️

First half was atrocious, second half was encouraging.

Seems to be a pattern emerging.

Need to be FAR more consistent at the back, press is just disjointed.

Disappointed to lose in that matter. Sage needs to be ruthless with our defence now. Play the better CB’s and leave the others as back up. Also, this was ref was terrible. Kamada getting fouled but waved it was on, only to give Lyon a free kick for the same offence sums this evening up #cpfc

From what I’ve seen so far, our best hope of being better defensively is having Tomiyasu in the middle of our back 3. But he has massive fitness issues. & that is going to cost us. #cpfc

How long should Sage be given to sort the defence? It doesn’t look like it’s getting any better. The ref gets the lowest score though. Farcical display from him #cpfc

Meh this could have been worse.

With a less rigged ref, we might have taken three points tonight. At least would have picked up one.

Like Forest, more questions than answers. The main difference this time was we got punished for our mistakes. We’re a lot of fun going forwards, but a disaster defensively. Sage must address that or he’ll be gone. Leeds should be the template for us & we need to get back to that somehow. #cpfc
