Uller frowned and tried to traverse the odd feeling filling him after hearing the words. The prisoner fought for the mitigations, and of course for their survival, but taking away the one #bequest they were offered did not sit well with Uller as laws should prevail. #vss365

#vss365 #Reprieve #Bequest

Bequest me all your fortune
And it still won't give me reprieve
For if I had a fortune
I'd give & give & never receive

I'd start by tipping Sex Workers
Then move to feeding the poor
I'd clear away their sadness
Help them open up a new door

You can call that crazy

I was called to the reading of a will
Of a long-lost friend who we will call Bill
Surprised there was a bequest
Wondered what he would request
He left a letter written with a quill

Mr Hale left his allotment to our Sam, who is nine. It's in the will, a proper #bequest, with the shed. Sam took it seriously. He's up there before school with the old man's fork, which is taller than him. The other plot-holders have stopped laughing. His leeks took first at the show. #vss365

His last #bequest
a contribution
to his favorite charity
is not necessary welcome
to his so-called
loving relatives
who waited so long
to get what's theirs.

Hump day everyone. Hope it is being kind to you all. Made it to afternoon coffee and a pause on the high seas. #vss365 #haiku

History's #bequest
Pain seeks to consume all hope
Yet future's light wins

September’s last hour:
Warm breath left as a bequest
To October’s cold.

The baddest girl is fire.
Her constant bequest
betrays each liar who
alone betrays reach.

Her best is always now;
for the only reason:
the baddest girl
knows how.

To be cool, she leads.
We follow the weather—
not the fool with fossil fuel,
a made-up rule, and no
feather.🪶

bequeath your monuments

to the sand of time

their crumbling

will be our forgetting

#vss365 #bequest #poetry

and in a flash
he vanished

his soul whisked off
to be fitted
for gossamer wings

a #bequest
by fellow angels

as a new arrival
now calling Heaven
his home
