A Common Shore #Crab, Carcinus maenas, in a rock pool on Bawdsey Beach #Suffolk today. Not giving away any clues as to whereabouts of sharks’ tooth fossils. 😐

Coastal erosion doesn’t always have to be spectacular. On a warm windy day like today a steady trickle of sand from Red Crag over London Clay on an already eroded cliff at Bawdsey will eventually destabilise the blocks above. I stepped back!
