@moondogrick.bsky.socialJust finished an early-morning watch of the season finale of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, "Tomorrow's Enterprise." It's part Frequency, part Predestination, part Call the Midwife and maybe just a touch of 2001: A Space Odyssey thrown in.
@cptdave1701.bsky.socialIt's Thursday! That means it's New Trek Thursday!! An all new episode, the season 4 finale, of #StrangeNewWorlds is waiting for you, "Tomorrow's Enterprise."

@captainrevo.bsky.social“So what is it?”
@dailyrich.bsky.socialThere's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo on the Strange New Worlds finale that got a literal "Holy shit!" out of me.
@glen-malley.mstdn.ca.ap.brid.gyGreat episode of #StrangeNewWorlds with some wonky science to be sure but great otherwise. Always love an Uhura episode. And they went all out including many rarely seen outside of the cartoons species on the ship.
@baddogz.bsky.socialTuesday #StrangeNewWorlds
@seanferrick.bsky.socialHappy Thursday all! It's season finale day, keep those spoilers off for a bit!
Here is a Capybara while we wait :)
@captainpike.bsky.socialEveryone is great in Tomorrow's Enterprise, but Celia Rose Gooding is spectacular as Uhura.
Fantastic episode to cap this season of Star Trek Strange New Worlds.

@starshiptim.comIt's a decent episode in a weak season, but holy moly did #StrangeNewWorlds desperately need a science adviser. Abominable science in the finale. Inexcusably so. With some tweaks/different terminology it might've been fine. I've other quibbles too, but also positives. Review up in a day or two.
@jg-milton.bsky.social#StarTrek #StrangeNewWorlds season 4 finale? Uhura. More Uhura. Time travel. The space <spoiler>. Perfect. No notes. I forgive you for the genre shenanigans. (Little sad at this moment for the Year One that will never be.)
@felixfrazer.bsky.socialThis week’s #StrangeNewWorlds is set on the horizon of a White Hole.
@langerjan.chaos.social.ap.brid.gyDon't forget to mute #StrangeNewWorlds for the season finale today since people can't be bothered with spoiler tags or any other considerate gesture.
@marymoss.bsky.socialToday's episode of #Strangenewworlds was middle of the road for me. It could've been a lot better but there was one thing that I confused/irked me, and it left me distracted for the whole episode.

Some interesting ideas this episode, plus it was nice to see some non-humans on the Enterprise... but I didn't really like this finale.
Narratively, I thought it was an absolute mess and yet another instance of the plot pushing events rather than the characters.
@keithgow.bsky.socialBut I'll take good over cringe worthy and embarrassing and downright bad. But those annoying things were quite annoying. #StrangeNewWorlds
