Women of NASA

“Margaret Hamilton, whose pioneering software played a critical role in the first moon landing, hated it when computers crashed without explanation… she made sure the flight software she developed for NASA’s Apollo onboard computers alerted astronauts the instant something went wrong.” #RIP

Margaret Hamilton, standing beside a stack of Apollo source code almost taller than herself, remains one of my favourite photographs in the history of computing.

I like to imagine generations of MIT students walking past that image on their way to lectures.

An absolute titan. #RIP

The Madrid pensioner who was expelled from her flat of 70 years, has died.
The landlord raised her rent to an unaffordable level because they discovered that they could do so.
All these greedy bastards needed to do was wait. Maricarmen was 87😔

She led the development of the on-board flight software for NASA's Apollo Guidance Computer for the Apollo program at MIT.

Malaysia welcoming Min Aung Hlaing = accepting the coup = normalizing the suffering of Myanmar’s people.

This is not OK.

#RIP ASEAN. The red carpet has spoken.

#HiddenFigures #rip 🖤🕯️
