In 1988, Jodie Foster played the title victim in a movie about a woman being gang raped, and fighting for justice. After the #MeToo movement, the #Epstein Files debacle, and the #Cornell7, it is acutely shameful that this country, the USA, still protects rapists.

Cornell case: an ‘institutional betrayal’ of victims in the post #MeToo era dozz.es/ap9m6o

Maybe there are other problems. This is just one of a series of sex abuse/discrimination lawsuits over the past decade, many of which have origins in practices from long before #MeToo.

I read a thread today from a very brave and bright, woman.
Recently I have been processing a sexual assault 40 years ago. I was with colleagues. I blamed myself because that’s what women do.
I know the symptoms of date rape drugs, and still I blamed myself. I’m a paramedic, they were too. #metoo

It’s not just #Cornell! It’s all universities! Watch “Promising Young Woman.”

I think the next #MeToo movement should be #AbolishFrats. Why do they still exist??

When I was 17, the #metoo movement was fully underway. The widespread discussions and desperate bids for justice for SA victims trickled down to my school, where there was one specific problem boy in my grade who had probably grabbed the boobs of 3/4 of the girls in my classes. Repeatedly.

I want a slasher film inspired by John Tucker Must Die. But it's a bunch of cheerleaders going after their rapists

Bannon is specifically probably very grateful that there's no #metoo for dogs, and it's helping his allies before there is one.

I apologize for posting about Wil Wheaton earlier thinking he was cool since he supported gay and trans rights…

Then I learned how he defended a friend in a #MeToo scenario instead of believing the person abused.

Now this… I don’t quite understand what happened with this post but I’m trying to

I would rather be celebrating people creating soft landings than celebrating surviving being tossed from great heights.

Yet I do celebrate everyone surviving the toss.

Thank you to everyone helping others survive a culture of harm.

Bannon promised Epstein that his culture war would set back #MeToo for a decade, and he is on the vanguard of the movement to silence rape and genocide survivors, and, of course, to force trans people out of public life.

As Steve Bannon wrote to Epstein concerning #MeToo, "Make sure Woody sees this. Nobody safe":

A dive into the Epstein Files reveals the oligarchy's panic over #MeToo and the possibility that the private sins of the wealthy and powerful could become a matter of public knowledge.
