#LitHodgepodge 3

Oooh, okay, time to dig into my inspiration photos lol

This is one I've shared before when asked about a particular character, so it'll be interesting to see if anyone remembers, and what hobby he would choose.

Besides trouble 😜

I've been trying to get better at drawing people and I was actually fairly happy with this little sketch of Cole and Ezra that I did the other day.

So, what do you think these guys would be good at?

I have tons of character art for Bloody Terrible! Why not work off this one I made last year featuring Nostriano, Renee, and most of the remaining cast

A blonde man in red glasses and a young black woman in a leather jacket, walking along the chicago river walk and chatting happily. Various people, human and not, are sitting on the stairs or walking and watching them.

Showing my hand a bit but...
Meet Dylan! He's the narrator of Thank You for Loving Me~

What hobbies do we think he could master in a day?
(For what it's worth, he looks cooler than he actually is~😌)

#TY4LM

Shoulders-up image of a Dylan from Thank You for Loving Me. He has sand-blonde hair, brown eyes, and moderately tanned skin. His shirt is a white button up with the top buttons undone, exposing just a bit of chest.

Let me introduce Princess Ata Glyndŵr.

Volume one of Raven & Bear follows her from ages ten to fifteen. While a princess by adoption, she has chosen to train as a knight.

Her art is by the splendid @nushdeco.bsky.social, check her out!

Art of a pale girl with black hair and gold eyes, dressed in brown gambeson holding a bear-cub. She stands in front of a pale blue background with a darker blue circle in the middle decorated by star patterns. The art is by Nushdeco and depicts the character Ata Glyndŵr from the Raven & Bear collection of short stories by Bramble.

#LitHodgepodge 3 - What's his hobby?

Besides the very obvious, I wonder what you'll think?

#LitHodgepodge Day 3

Audrey from LEVEL UP is pretty much the only character I have non-cover art for, so here you go. I think the title of the book gives away what her hobby already is, so pick something else. 😂

A pair of loose sketches of a twenty-something woman with chin-length curly hair and an oversized sweater. One is a head-and-shoulders portrait, and the other is a full-body where she is holding up her phone as though taking a mirror selfie. In the full-body sketch, she is wearing loose-fitting trousers and sneakers as well. The entire image is monochromatic, in orange and brown shades, with a watercolour effect for loose shading, against a beige background with a white grid. There is no artist signature because I forgot to include one, whoops.

Here's my most popular #Ellamir character, Maqine, as penned by the awesome @nushdeco.bsky.social!

She's already pretty accomplished, but her life circumstances just got rather... rural. What do you reckon her new hobby could be?

I don't really do the image thing but I found this on Canva a few (pre-AI) years ago that reminded me of my FMC, Veronica...

Girl with long auburn hair wearing a black lace dress lying on a wooden floor, smoking a cigarette, listening to albums on a record player. Perhaps the Velvet Underground, or Love or Hendrix or Cream...

Happy weekend, #LitHodgepodge!

Here she is again, my one commissioned art piece, the starship avatar of the Rune Carrier! Curious to see what people think of her hobbies 😆

Art by NoaFelixArt over on VGen. vgen.co/noafelixart

#writingcommunity #writingprompts #writesky

The avatar of the Rune Carrier, the living starship. Rune is blonde, with a dynamic stripe of pink. Her uniform is a scandalous variant of a starship officer's, with an open jacket and a short skirt. She stands in her ship's corridor, projected from inside the walls.

#LitHodgepodge 3 is probably more interesting with less boring-looking characters, but I can't art myself, so best I can do is this Chibi of Konrad by the marvellous @ralkaras.bsky.social.
So what do you think would be the hobby for him?

A cartoony white grey-haired person with huge cute grey eyes in a far too large head, wearing a grey suit with a red tie, floating with slightly bent legs.

#LitHodgepodge D3: I'll do both! The left is my original art of my #OC Detective Megan Leanne Deer. In 'The Canary', she is a grown adult detective in Wrightsville investigating the disappearance of local teens. In 'The Cage', the story follows her life and how she's involved in the previous story.

A character portrait sketch sheet of headshots of my OC Megan Leanne Deer throughout key ages in her story. From top to bottom, left to right, her ages are as follows: 17, 15, 21, 35-45, and 55-65. At the bottom of the page under her name is a sketched shotgun rifle, the one she grew up using on the farm as a kid. A 9 panel OC moodboard for my character Megan Leanne Deer. Described top to bottom, left to right, the images are as follows: a grinning pale woman with blonde wavy hair, a crookedly hung pay phone, a cheap brick porch with a single plastic chair by the open screen door, keys on a carabiner hooked onto someone's back pocket of their jeans, a vintage button reading 'I BECAME A TEENAGE LESBIAN!', someone with brown heeled boots kneeling in bootcut jeans, a grungy 80s teen outfit with an oversized unbuttoned flannel over a tucked white tshirt and jeans, a pale hand guarding the wind to light a cigarette, a blonde girl in shadow with her face concealed.

If Vela could master a new hobby in one day, what would she choose? #LitHodgepodge 3

My first and favorite painting of her.

Vela standing in front of the observatory. She has big round glasses and long blonde hair fluttering in the wind. Wearing a red summer dress and wide brimmed hat. She's holding a smartledger. Aquarelle on A4.

Here's a pic of Jimmy the MC of my book Waterspout. Someone called him a "slutty little twink" but he's also a talented painter.

If he could master a new hobby in one day, what would it be?

Ok here are Geni and Kallista.

Please give Kallista a hobby besides getting injured and Geni a hobby besides healing Kallista 🙏

Digital illustration of two chibi characters; Geni, on the left, a woman with brown hair, fair skin, and wearing a red dress, is kneeling with a weary, slightly concerned expression, next to Kallista, a woman with short blondeish hair wearing captain's clothes, who is unconscious on the ground. The only art of Lawcket I'm in the mood for sharing these days is when he's a little kid, so here's Rider.

I'll cheat by dropping that Rider treats nothing as *just* a hobby.

A young man glad in dark leather with his arm draped over the neck of a slim dragon colored in stripes of black & white running the length of her body. They are my OCs, Rider & Callith.
